  I attend the LDS Church in North Bend Oregon with my new wife, Holly. I like the fact that every Sunday, in the chapel, they administer the Sacrament symbolically repeating the last supper implemented by Christ before he was crucified. It is also quiet period of reflection on the body and blood of Christ and what He did for us via the Atonement. I like the fact that, rather than paid clergy, they ask the regular members of the congregation to prepare a talk about a gospel topic and then present it along with their testimony of their faith in the Savior. I also appreciate that, after the primary worship service (referred to as the Sacrament Meeting), they hold Sunday school in which an instructor leads the congregation in discussing the scriptures. This year they have been studying the New Testament. In other years they study the Old Testament and the Book of Mormon, which Mormons believe is another scripture that also testifies of Jesus as the Christ. What is also especially appealing to me is the effort the members make to be welcoming and friendly to all, but especially to visitors who are attending to investigate what the Mormon Church has to offer. Unlike their temples which are much more elaborate, Mormon Churches are pretty plain and unadorned inside, but they are well built and immaculately maintained. It's a great place to be on Sunday if you want to be warmly greeted, feel a great spirit, and hear lots of testimonies about the divine nature of Jesus Christ. But don't go expecting to find a lot of pomp and ceremony or elaborate decor or finishings because that's not what the LDS Churches are about.
